Checking In

Dust.

Good thing my guitar has a dust jacket, because that's all it's been collecting lately. Occasionally I'll get an idea for a song to mess around with, or want to practice for a bit, but I don't. There is always something else to read, to draw, or to watch. Performing music is the lowest thing on my ongoing 'Learning List'.

A pity, really...

I do love having a guitar around for those rare moments, but I just don't have the desire my way more talented friends seem to have burning inside of each of them.

NFL/NCAA

The football seasons are nigh upon us, and my guitar is being unwrapped. Progress reports to follow weekly! Yes, this concern is ongoing, and is not a dead blog... :Þ

Hello Again...

I've been practicing sporadically 'somewhat' lately. And I've had songs stuck in my brain that I want to learn acoustically. They are an odd bunch, but if I can master them (and get my voice to fit their molds), then I'll be a proud man...

Some of the songs are:

• Somebody to Love ("Glee" version)
• She's All I Ever Had - Ricky Martin
• Better - Kristin Cifelli

I hope to have them down by mid-autumn. I seem to get the most fun out of practicing during football games (both NFL and NCAA).

Back in the Saddle

Now that I am employed full time once again I am going to make sure my free time is well-spent.

I practiced in front of the football games today for several hours, and plan to make playing my guitar as important as working out.
