4 Days and Counting...

I haven't put my guitar in its soft bag all week, and today is the 4th day in a row I've practiced.

Yesterday I only played off & on for an hour or so after I got home around 3pm from Rhode Island, but today I got in several hours of work on most of the songs I decided to learn back when I was taking lessons. I am regaining muscle memory and dexterity, and I am loving it. In fact even though I worked from home today, most of it was processed through the left side of my brain. I also produced "Birches 1" at my easel. It is acrylics on canvas, and I had a blast moving from room to room, trading off between my guitar and my paint brushes. Three cheers for momentum!

And Today Makes Two...

...days in a row. Only an hour, but that's much preferable to a day missed!

The music festival I produce on the last Saturday of July each year has come and gone. It was a resounding success.

This year there was a generator for microphones, and it allowed for a bass guitar for the first two acts, and keyboards for the second. Check out the official blog here, and see below for a selection of photos from the five performances:

If you ever get the chance to see any (or all) of these amazing musicians live I highly recommend it. Meanwhile, the 2nd Annual Wyman's Pond Music Fest was even better than the inaugural year's event!
